Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism

Welcome to the official website for the Knights of Columbus Assembly 211 serving the communities in central Illinois.

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.7 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

Assembly 211 meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus.

NEWS

FAMILY MASS
We will celebrate Mass as a family at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit in Mount Zion at 9:30am on June 21st. Afterwards, we will have a pot luck brunch in the parish hall.

ST. THERESA SCHOLARSHIPS
The Very Reverend Jeremiah Murphy Assembly 211 has awarded four $750 scholarships for the school year 2009 – 2010. The awards have been communicated to the St. Teresa Administration, the parish priests, and the four students who will be entering St. T High School in the fall.

4TH DEGREE STEPPING UP
Congratulations to Mike Brettl and Phil Rudd, members of Assembly 211 for being elected GK and DGK respectfully for KC Council 11582 Mt. Zion. We wish you both much success and thank you for your continuing work within the KC.

Also congratulations to Francis “Bud” Walsh for answering the call to be our the new District Deputy. Bud should be confirmed as District 66 Deputy in June.

Our thanks and appreciation to Sir Knight Don Klinker for the four years of dedicated work he gave serving as District Deputy.

Make us always aware that as your Knights we are constantly observed, our faith judged and our Order appreciated.
