Color Corps Fact Book

Any time members of the Knights of Columbus Color Corps show up the public has an endless amount of questions for the Sir Knights in Regalia, these are some of the most frequently asked Questions:

1.) What do the different color capes mean?

Robins Egg Blue - Vice Supreme Masters and Former Vice Supreme Masters
Gold - District Masters and Former District Masters
Green - District Marshals
Purple - Commander of the Color Corps
White - Faithful Navigators and Past Faithful Navigators
Red - Color Corps Members

2.) What do the Colors on the Baldric represent?

The Different nations in the Order have different color Baldrics:
United States - Red, White and Blue
Canada - Red and White Mexico - Red, White and Green
Philippines - Red, White and Blue
Panama - Red, White and Blue
Guatemala - Blue and White

3.) What is with those funny hats?

The "funny" hats are referred to as Chapeaus by members of the color Corps, they are supposed to be reminiscent of the hats worn by U.S. naval officers at the end of the 1800's.

4.) Aren't you hot wearing all that "stuff"?
